Alex King and Kirby Bertram are the Athletic Trainers at Etowah High School sponsored by Northside Hospital Cherokee. Athletic Trainers (ATs) are highly qualified, multi-skilled health care professionals who collaborate with physicians to provide preventative services, emergency care, clinical, diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions. At Etowah, Kirby and I are the front line of our sport medicine team ensuring your athlete gets the highest quality of care on campus as well as appropriate and timely referrals to our sport medicine physicians and physical therapists as needed.
Within this page we will include all the information you will need to know what is available to your athlete on campus as well as updates prior to the start of their season and initiatives on campus to keep your athlete from sustaining an athletic injury. Should your athlete become injured you’ll find information within the Sports Medicine page as to who will help your athlete and how we can get them off of the sideline and back in the game.
