Abby Billings was an RBI machine on Monday, driving in five on three hits to lead Etowah Eagles Varsity past Alpharetta 16-3 on Monday. Billings drove in runs on a double in the first, a single in the second, and a single in the third. Etowah Eagles Varsity earned the victory despite allowing Alpharetta to score three runs in the third inning. Alpharetta’s big inning was driven by singles by Holley Sanders and Alexis Lopresti and by Jimmie Larson. In the first inning, Etowah Eagles Varsity got their offense started. Jaycee Wallace drove in one when she doubled. Kinsey Norton led things off in the circle for Etowah Eagles Varsity. She allowed zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out four and walking one. Paige Tucci started the game for Alpharetta. She lasted two-thirds of an inning, allowing five hits and nine runs while striking out one. Maliha Hasan threw three and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen. Etowah Eagles Varsity racked up 13 hits. Billings, Ari Medina, and Wallace each had multiple hits for Etowah Eagles Varsity. Medina and Billings each managed three hits to lead Etowah Eagles Varsity. Etowah Eagles Varsity tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Alaina Smith led the way with three. Etowah Eagles Varsity was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error.
