Etowah Eagles Varsity beat Lassiter 4-2 on Thursday.

Lassiter got things moving in the second inning. Lisa Heller drove in one when she singled.

Etowah Eagles Varsity pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Kendall Parks doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run, Alaina Smith singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, and Paige Patterson doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Natalie Harper got the start for Etowah Eagles Varsity. She surrendered two runs on eight hits over seven innings, striking out three and walking one.

Jillian Vitamanti was in the pitcher’s circle for Lassiter. She surrendered zero runs on zero hits over two-thirds of an inning, walking zero. Heller, Ashley Posey, and Annabelle Naugher each contributed in relief for Lassiter.

Etowah Eagles Varsity tallied ten hits. Kiersten James, Patterson, and Smith each racked up multiple hits for Etowah Eagles Varsity. James led Etowah Eagles Varsity with three hits in three at bats. Etowah Eagles Varsity didn’t commit a single error in the field. Abby Billings had the most chances in the field with five.

Lassiter racked up eight hits. Heller and Paige Bennett each collected multiple hits for Lassiter. Heller went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Lassiter in hits.
