Attention Etowah Eagles!
Just recently the GHSA released the following information concerning physicals for the 2020-2021 school year:
The Board of Trustees is keenly aware of the challenges you face with regard to physicals for the 2020-2021 school year. In response, we have approved an exception to allow physicals that are valid through the end of the 19/20 school year to be valid through July 27, 2020 which is the first official date for practice for 2020-2021. This should allow more time for your athletes to schedule a physical with their personal physician.
Etowah students that intend to participate in any GHSA activity, Band, or ROTC for the 2020-21 school year must have a physical on file with the athletic office. The Cherokee County School District is currently working on a return-to-play plan including physicals, conditioning, workouts, or tryouts for fall sports (cheerleading, softball, and volleyball), and we want you to be prepared for when this is announced. Any student that will be participating in any off-season workouts or conditioning must have a physical. Per the above statement from GHSA, physicals that expired at the end of this school year will be allowed to be used through July 27, 2020. Once we are allowed to resume activities, the 2020-2021 physical packet must be completed.

NOTE: Prior to turning in your physical to the athletic office, please complete ALL physical forms with parent/guardian signatures. Thank you and GO EAGLES!
